Andy Murray was hammered by world number one Rafael Nadal in the final of the Masters Series at Indian Wells in California. He had to contend with both the blistering tennis of Nadal and winds of up to 50mph, and he lost in strgiht sets 6-1, 6-2.
However, on current form Murray has claims to be the second best player in the world right now, and the series was a success for him, beating both a virus and Roger Federer along the way to this final defeat.
'It was tough,' said Murray. 'I haven't played in conditions like that in quite some time. But Rafa dealt with it really well. He hit a cleaner ball and just seemed to get himself into better positions than I did. I'll definitely get over it because I'm guessing I'm not going to play in conditions like those each week.'
