In a dazzling display of power-serving, Andy Murray despatched world #1 Roger Federer in the first round of the Dubai Open yesterday.
Good on yer, Andy. Beating big bad Roger is no mean feat. The Swiss is almost untouchable when he’s on his game. To beat the three-time defending champ is impressive whatever the circumstances, though. And after going a set down in a tie-break too.
Although Wimbledon is months away, results like this should ensure Murray-mania is at fever pitch when the world’s biggest Grand Slam tennis event gets going in June. Let’s just hope you can put on a show.
