Mixed fortunes in Champions League draw
The draw was made for the Champions League group stages this afternoon in Monaco and the four Premier League clubs in the draw had mixed fortunes.
Manchester United were drawn with Scottish champions Rangers, Valencia and Turkish league winners Bursaspor in Group C.
Newcomers Tottenham were drawn in a tricky group alongside holders Inter Milan, Werder Bremen and FC Twente while Chelsea will play Mareseille, Spartak Moscow and Slovakian club MSK Zilinain in Group F.
Arsenal appear to have been handed the easiest draw of the English clubs. Arsene Wenger’s team will play Shakhtar Donetsk, Braga and Partizan Belgrade in Group H.
