AC Milan officially presented Ronaldinho to the club's fans at the San Siro last night. Thousands of supporters turned up to welcome the Brazilian striker to his new surroundings after he joined from Barcelona in a deal worth £25.5m.
The former world player of the year passed a medical at Milan and signed a contract which will see him play in Serie A until the 2010-2011 season. Ronaldinho said that he was happy to have joined Milan and to have the possibility to play alongside his compatriot Kaka.
Ronaldinho also rejected criticism over his lifestyle and fitness after a year spent on the sidelines at Barcelona. "I have always lived a regular life and I will continue like that. I am in good physical condition," the Brazilian told reporters. "Every player dreams of playing for Milan. It is a special emotion and I hope to bring happiness to the fans."
