Milan look to extend Beckham's loan deal
David Beckham could be set to extend his loan deal at AC Milan according to reports on a number of backpages today. Adriano Galliani, the Serie A club's general manager, told Milan TV that he hopes the former England captain can remain at the rossoneri until June.
Milan are then hoping to sign Beckham permanently in November when his current contract with the LA Galaxy runs out. The former Manchester United player is set to return to the MLS on March 9 at the end of his loan deal.
Beckham has made no secret of his desire to remain at Milan and the Italian giants have been impressed by the midfielder's recent form. "Negotiations are getting more intense. I hope to manage to arrange for him to stay here at least until June 30 on loan," Galliani told reporters. "Then he could return to Los Angeles and come back in January. It's a complicated path, as we have always known, but I'm trying."
