Maradona threatens to quit as Argentina coach
Diego Maradona's time in charge of the Argentinian national team could be over before it even begins with reports that the 48-year-old has threatened to quit if he isn't allowed to appoint Oscar Ruggeri as his assistant.
The former World Cup winning captain was made coach of Argentina last week but is already said to be fighting with FA head honcho Julio Grondona who is against Ruggeri becoming Maradona's number two.
The former Napoli legend is set to arrive in Glasgow at the weekend to prepare for his team's friendly against Scotland next week. But he told reporters that: 'I will be the trainer of Argentina with my technical staff I want to work with, otherwise I will not be coming to Glasgow.'
