Arsenal's week went from bad to worse at Eastlands this afternoon where they lost 3-0 to Manchester City. Robinho and Stephen Ireland both got on the score sheet in the first half before substitute Daniel Strridge put the icing on the cake with a penalty in injury time.
William Gallas was dropped from the squad after publicly criticizing his team-mates. But Arsenal struggled without the French defender and waved goodbye to their slim title hopes with their fifth defeat of the season.
Arsene Wenger was without the services of first team regulars Theo Walcott, Cesc Fabregas, Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Adebayor as well as Gallas and it showed on the pitch. The Gunners' failed to control the game in what must be a nadir of Wenger's time at the club.
