Manchester City beat Danish side AaB Aolborg 2-0 in the fourth round of the UEFA Cup at the Emirates Stadium last night. Mark Hughes side played some exciting attacking football, again underlining their potency when lining out at home.
Ecuadorian striker Felipe Caicedo opened the scoring on 7 minutes when he latched onto a pass from Elano before swivelling past his marker and placing the ball beyond the advancing keeper. City went 2-0 up on 30 minutes thanks to a screamer from Shaun Wright Phillips.
The result will take some of the heat off the under pressure Mark Hughes while City now must be amongst the favourites to lift the UEFA Cup.
