Liverpool beat Bolton 3-0 to stay top of the Premier League

Liverpool are top of the Premier League tonight thanks to a 3-0 home win over Bolton at Anfield. With Chelsea and Manchester United winning earlier in the day the Reds knew that they needed to win to extend their lead in the title race.

Albert Riera opened the scoring in the 26th minute when he got on the end of a Steven Gerrard cross before Robbie Keane continued his scoring streak with a well taken double in the second half.

Fernando Torres had been rumoured to return for Liverpool, but with Keane finally finding his scoring touch there will be no need to rush the Spanish striker back before he is fully fit.
