Liverpool and Portsmouth agree Crouch deal
Peter Crouch is set to swap Liverpool for Portsmouth after agreeing personal terms with the South Coast club. The England striker is due to undergo a medical at Fratton park tomorrow.
Portsmouth are reported to have agreed a fee of £11m for Crouch. It will be the England international's second spell at Portsmouth, having previously lined out for Pompey in 2001/2002 before joining Aston Villa.
Liverpool boss Rafael Benítez was reluctant to sell the beanpole striker but Crouch wanted to be sure of first-team football next season. The 6 ft 7 striker will link up with fellow England international Jermain Defoe. Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp will be hoping that the pair can form a good partnership up front.
