Lampard: facing boo-boys made me a better player
Frank Lampard believes that facing England's boo-boys has made him a better player. The Chelsea midfielder was long the target of frustrated fans whenever he donned the Three Lions, accused of failing to recreate his club form at international level.
"The first time you get a bit of stick it does affect you," Lampard told reporters. "You are only human. Gradually it becomes a lot easier to deal with. You start thinking it doesn't matter too much and concentrate on doing your job."
The boo-boys, however, now seem to have focused their attention on Ashley Cole with Lampard finally starting to prove himself in an England shirt under Fabio Capello.
