Keane wants to bring Vieira to Sunderland
Roy Keane wants to bring his former arch nemesis Patrick Vieira to Sunderland during the January transfer window.
According to the Daily Mail the former Arsenal midfielder has been unhappy at Inter Milan ever since Jose Mourinho took over at the Serie A champions.
Keane and Vieira had a number of infamous on field spats while captaining Manchester United and Arsenal respectively, culminating in the unforgettable pre-match discussion in the tunnel at Highbury back in 2004 (see below).
But Keane buried the hatchet with Sunderland Chairman Niall Quinn following their World Cup bust up back in 2002. So the idea of Vieira lining out for the Black Cats may not be such an absurd idea after all.
