Keane has no regrets about rejoining Spurs

Robbie Keane has told reporters that he had no regrets about rejoining Spurs following his unhappy few months at Anfield.

"I'm delighted to be back. This is a club that's dear to my heart and I've got some great memories from when I was here for six years," Keane told Spurs TV. "I'm looking forward to the next few years I have with the club and I'm really delighted to be back amongst the lads again."

Keane also told reporters that he has been welcomed back by his team-mates at the north London club: "I have to say, it's like I never left. The lads have been spot on, the usual, and every fan I've met so far has been absolutely brilliant to me. I don't think I needed convincing (to come back)." The Ireland striker continued: "For whatever reason things didn't work out for me up there. That's life. And sometimes you just have to accept that and get on with it."

Keane is set to start Sunday's north London derby against Arsenal after rejoining Spurs for £15m on Monday. A winning goal for Tottenham would be the perfect way to win back any fans opposed to Keane's return to White Hart Lane.
