Kaka calls for Beckham to extend Milan stay
Brazilian midfielder Kaka has called for David Beckham to extend his stay at the San Siro beyond March. The 33-year-old former England captain is at the Serie A side on a short-term loan during the MLS off-season.
Beckham played 89 minutes of Milan's 2-2 draw with Roma at the weekend despite speculation that he was only at the club to sell shirts. Kaka was gushing in his praise of the Goldenballed wonder.
"David has shown he is a player ready to run the extra mile. The first matches showed quite clearly what his qualities are and his passing ability and his capacity to play well", Kaka said. "Perhaps these first two months will lead to six months or to one year, to more contracts. I certainly would like to play more with him." the Brazilian continued.
Despite Kaka's plea a spokesman for Beckham has insisted that the former Manchester United and Real Madrid player will return to the LA Galaxy for March 9 to prepare for the new MLS season, but it may be difficult for Becks to swap visits to the Olympic Stadium with away matches against Columbus Crew.
