Jose Mourinho hints at interest in United job

Jose Mourinho has hinted that he would be interested in taking over at Manchester United when Sir Alex Ferguson eventually decides to step down at Old Trafford. The current Inter Milan boss has told the Daily Mail that he would love to become United manager if offered the job.

"I would consider going to Manchester United but United have to consider if they want me to succeed Sir Alex Ferguson," Jose told the Mirror. "If they do, then of course.

The former Chelsea boss underlined his love for English football: "I like England, where the fans are very passionate and make the game a beautiful occasion with such an incredible atmosphere."

Not known for his lack of confidence, the Special One spoke about his managerial CV winning league titles with Porto, Chelsea and Inter Milan as well as the Blues' failure to win the league since he left the club back in 2007.

"I had many conversations before Chelsea and I decided on a divorce," Mourinho said. "It was difficult for me because we loved each other but the relationship went in one direction and it was best for everyone. Since I left I became champion again but they have not been champions again. I keep on winning and they don't."
