Jose Mourinho confirmed as manager of Inter Milan
After eight months out of football Jose Mourinho is back. The former Chelsea boss been confirmed as the new manager of Inter Milan signing a three year deal with the Italian champions.
The move will increase speculation over the futures of Didier Drogba, Ricardo Carvalho and Frank Lampard at Chelsea. It is widely reported that Mourinho has told Inter chairman Massimo Morrati that he wants the England midfielder to be his first signing.
Mourinho will be under pressure to deliver results in domestic competition, where Inter have won three Italian league titles in row, and above all in Europe. Moratti wants to see Inter add to the two European cups that they won in 1964 and 1965 under Helenio Herrera.
While Mourinho has, in theory, three years to achieve this aim, failure is not an option for Moratti. The Portuguese becomes the 14th Inter manager since Moratti took over as president back in 1995. It will be interesting to see if Jose lasts the three years.Mourinho's first press conference at Inter
