Evander Holyfield and Mike Tyson may get ready to rumble, despite both boxers being in their forties. Speaking to the Guardian, Holyfield said that he is considering an offer from Tyson to meet in the ring for a third time.
But money will ultimately decide the issue. Holyfield added that 'it all depends on what they are going to give us - because I'm gonna catch a lot of flak if I say I'm fighting Mike Tyson again. I've already said I don't want to fight Mike no more.'
Tyson was famously disqualified in the second bout for biting a man sized chunk out of Holyfield's ear. Both fighters have made attempts at a comeback in recent years but the proposed meeting would be one of the most controversial match ups in the history of the sport.
It's a reflection on the current state of heavyweight boxing that a potential Holyfield versus Tyson bout is still appealing over a decade after their last fight.
