Hiddink keeps quiet over latest Chelsea rumours
Guus Hiddink has kept schtum over the latest reports linking him to the Chelsea job on a permanent basis. Rumours have surfaced today that Dick Advocat will take over as Russia national coach allowing Hiddink to remain at Stamford Bridge.
When quizzed about the reports earlier today Hiddink responded in ambiguous terms: "If there is something new I will announce it. There is nothing new. It is not an everyday issue and we stick to what we have said recently."
But the former PSV coach admitted that he was relishing the chance to ply his trade in the Premier League: "I have settled in quickly. But I knew a bit of Premier League, English football and this club, and I am the kind of person who tries to adapt as soon as possible."
The Blues are currently 10 points behind Manchester United in the Premier League but are still in the hunt for the Champions League title. If Hiddink can deliver either of those trophies he could find it difficult to walk away.
