Henson to start for Wales in Six Nations decider

Gavin Henson has retained his starting place in the Wales XV for the weekend's Six Nations decider with Ireland in Cardiff despite having criticised his captain Ryan Jones' tactics in the final seconds of last Saturday's narrow win over Italy in Rome.

The Ospreys centre, who has been gracing the front pages rather than the back pages for all of the wrong reasons over the last few months, walked off the pitch at the Stadio Flaminio in a huff following his team's decision to kick for goal instead of putting the ball out from a penalty to end the game.

Henson's petulance, however, has not been punished and instead it is the unlucky Jamie Roberts who drops to the bench. Stephen Jones return at out-half while the back row is the same as the one that started against France with Ryan Jones and Martin Williams coming back in the staring XV.

Ireland, who are yet to announce their line-up, haven't won a Grand Slam since 1948 and are favourites going into the match, but Wales will be hoping that they can rain on the parade and finish their Six Nations campaign on a high.

Wales XV: Lee Byrne; Mark Jones, Tom Shanklin, Gavin Henson, Shane Williams; Stephen Jones, Mike Phillips; Gethin Jenkins, Matthew Rees, Adam Jones, Ian Gough, Alun-Wyn Jones, Ryan Jones (capt), Martyn Williams, Andy Powell. Replacements: Huw Bennett, John Yapp, Luke Charteris, Dafydd Jones, Warren Fury, James Hook, Jamie Roberts
