Hamilton disqualified from Australian Grand Prix

Lewis Hamilton has been stripped of third place in the Australian Grand Prix and now risks being suspended from the Formula 1 world championship after it emerged that he lied to FIA race stewards following last weekend's race.

The McLaren driver is accused of acting "in a manner prejudicial to the conduct of the event by providing evidence deliberately misleading to the stewards" in relation to an incident with Toyota's Jarno Trulli.

With the FIA considering taking further sanctions against Hamilton following interception of radio conversations between the driver and his team, McLaren's bad start to the season could get even worse.
