Halfpenny set to make Lions debut agains the Cheetahs
Luke Fitzgerald and Leigh Halfpenny will make their Lions debuts tomorrow afternoon in Bloemfontein against the Free State Cheetahs. Ireland second row Donncha O'Callaghan will also play his first game of the tour where he will line out alongside his Munster team-mate and British and Irish Lions captain Paul O'Connell.
Despite winning the Grand Slam and the Heineken Cup on the wing for Ireland and Leinster respectively, Fitzgerald starts in the centre where he will link up with Munster's Keith Earls. England centre Riki Flutey will miss the game through injury meaning that Gordon Darcy starts on the bench just days after joining up with the squad.
A number of players will be looking to impress the Lions brain trust as the competition for Test places heats up. Wales' Andy Powell, James Hook and Shane Williams all start and will be looking to put down a marker.
