It was one of the worst days in football – October 3, 2007 – when a Celtic fan ran onto the pitch and assaulted the unsuspecting Milan keeper, Dida. It was a bad day, not because the idiot invaded the pitch and tickled the lad on the chin.
No it was a bad day because of the shameless histrionics Dida went through after surviving the ‘attack’. There’s been little news of his wellbeing since and, frankly, we’re worried about him.
The Celtic fan was rightly banned for life from Hampden Park. But is that punishment enough? Probably – have you seen them play?
We wish Dida well and hope he makes a full recovery in 2008. Hopefully, he’ll one day be able to play again.
