Fulham FC appoint new boss

Fulham FC have finally appointed a brand new boss and no, it isn’t always-in-the-running Sven Goran Eriksson, it's former Manchester City leader Mark Hughes.

For a football club with few resources, Fulham had an over achieving season last year, even reaching the final of the Europa League Cup. But it was inevitable that the manager that took them Roy Hodgson would sadly move on. And that he did, taking the vacant post left by Rafa Benitez at Liverpool.

Mark Hughes hasn’t been on the managerial sidelines since he was released from Man City in December, but has signed a two-year deal at Fulham worth an estimated £2m. Talking about his new post on the Fulham FC website, Hughes said: ‘I am joining on the back of two of the most successful seasons in the club's history. I am confident that with some additions to the squad, hard work and commitment, we can move this club forward in the right direction.’

Mark Hughes starts his Fulham reign with immediate affect.
