Ferguson rows with Foster after Sunderland game

Sir Alex Ferguson is reported to have had a dressing room bust up with Ben Foster following Manchester United's 2-2 draw with Sunderland at the weekend. The 26-year-old has been found guilty of a howling blunder which allowed the Black Cats to claim a point at Old Trafford.

The mistake against The Black Cats was just the latest in a list of high-profile errors by Foster who has been deputizing for the injured Edwin van der Sar. Foster's dip in form appears to have resulted in his omission from the England squad despite the young goalkeeper being left out for a reported chest injury.

Van der Sar played 90 minutes for United's reserves last night against Everton and looks set to return to the starting XI following the international break. In more bad news for Foster, Ferguson is looking to sign Sporting Lisbon goalkeeper Rui Patricio with van der Sar expected to retire at the end of the season.
