Feeling Bullish

Sebastian Vettel won the Brazilian Grand Prix yesterday to help take the race for the Formula One world title to the final day of the season, in a dramatic race that saw Mark Webber draw closer to table topping Fernando Alonso.

Webber was led into a handy second place finish by Vettel, one place ahead of Alonso, and now all three are in with a realistic shout of taking the crown: Webber is only eight points behind the Spaniard, while Vettel is 15 points back. A win for either would top of a great season for Red Bull, who yesterday also won the constructor’s championship.

‘I don't wish anything bad to happen to (Alonso), but it would be nice if we see some nice Ferrari smoke,’ said Vittel. ‘No, joking apart, we try to win the race and we see where he is.

‘It was an incredible day, not easy to start with. I was on the dirty side but got a good start and I saw Nico (Hulkenberg) had wheelspin.

‘He didn't give me a lot of room but then it was OK. I could cruise into the distance and control the pace. It's an incredible effort from the team. It has not been an easy season, but this was the perfect answer after what happened in Korea.’
