Fed express

Roger Federer looks to have rediscovered his form at the Australian Open, after dishing out a horrible pasting to his fellow countryman, Stanislas Wawrinka.

Wawrinka was taken apart 6-1, 6-3, 6-3 in only one hour and 47 minutes, reassuring any Federer fans who were worried he was due a beating after his dreadful performances in the previous two rounds. He has now taken his place in the semi-finals where he will play Serb Novak Djokovic. Federer knows that he will have to up his game some more to win, because on the lurking on the other side of the draw are Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal.

‘I'm not quite there yet,’ he said. ‘I prefer to play aggressive. I don't overdo it either, because that's not the point, just storming to the net, hit clean winners on every shot. It's about building up the right plays and having the right game plan. That's what I seem like I'm having.’
