Fabregas hopes club future is resolved ahead of World Cup

Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas hopes that his club future will be sorted out before this summer’s World Cup and has made it clear that he has no immediate plans to leave the Gunners.

‘If I leave Arsenal it will be to play at Barcelona,’ the Spain international told Marca. ‘I do not know when it will happen, I am very happy at Arsenal and I am in no hurry to leave.’

‘Before the World Cup I want to know my future, because playing at a World Cup and having something on your mind does not help anyone.’

Fabregas also told the Spanish daily that he has not been contacted by the Catalan giants who are set to elect a new president this summer. ‘Nobody has contacted me, so I do not feel used.’
