Everton hammer Wigan 4-0 at Goodison Park
Everton hammered Wigan 4-0 at Goodison Park yesterday afternoon to cement sixth place in the Premier League. On loan Brazilian striker Jo continued his scoring streak with a brace before man of the match Marouane Fellaini and Leon Osman completed the rout.
The result capped a terrible week for Steve Bruce who had to contend with striker Amr Zaki going awol following some over excessive birthday celebrations. But it was the 11 players on the Wigan team who went missing on the day, handing the Toffees an easy three points.
Everton now look on course for next season's rebranded Europa League thanks in part to £15m Belgian midfielder Fellaini who looks as if he could be one of the best signings of the season.
