Two of world football's biggest names will go head to head with each other on May 28th at Wembley in the Champions League final this year, Spain's Barcelona will face Manchester United in the most eagerly anticipated final since the last time the two footballing giants met in this final in 2009. Barcelona came out on top in that game, winning 2-0 with goals from Samuel Eto'o and Lionel Messi so revenge is on the cards for Sir Alex Ferguson and Manchester United.

Both of these sides have won three European Cups each, Manchester United won their first in 1968 at Wembley beating Benfica 4-1, their next triumph came in dramatic circumstances in 1999 when they beat Bayern Munich 2-1 in the dying seconds. Dramatic successes in the European Cup continued for United when they beat Chelsea in a penalty shoot-out out in 2008.

Barcelona's first European Cup victory came in 1992 when they beat Sampdoria 1-0 at Wembley after extra time with current manager Pep Guardiola in the side that day, their next victory was in 2006 when they overcame Arsenal 2-1 after falling behind to a Sol Campbell header early on and the last of their successes was in 2009.

Each applicant for champions league final tickets 2011 ballot was asked to complete the online application form for a maximum of two tickets and entered into the ticket ballot.

Ticket prices for a category 1 ticket are £300, for a category 2 ticket it is £225 and for a category 3 ticket it will set you back £150.
