England take on Australia at Twickenham
Martin Johnson has made two changes to the England team for tomorrow's Cook Cup international against Australia at Twickenham. Erstwhile skipper Phil Vickery comes in at tight-head prop while Tom Palmer starts in the second row in place of Nick Kennedy.
The England manager seems to be going for bulk to take on the Aussies up front with Simon Shaw being added to the bench. Delon Armitage, Ugo Monye and Riki Flutey have all been retained in the backs after making their collective débuts last weekend against the Pacific Islands.
Only four of the team that lines out tomorrow were on duty for England in last year's World Cup quarter-final win over Australia, underlining how much Johnson is looking to rebuild the team. But the Aussies will provide a much tougher test for the fledgling manager and his team.
England team to take on Australia: D Armitage (London Irish); P Sackey (Wasps), J Noon (Newcastle), R Flutey (Wasps), U Monye (Harlequins); D Cipriani (Wasps), D Care (Harlequins); A Sheridan (Sale Sharks), L Mears (Bath), P Vickery (Wasps), S Borthwick (Saracens, capt), T Palmer (Wasps), T Croft (Leicester), T Rees (Wasps), N Easter (Harlequins)
