England drop Moody for Calcutta Cup clash

Leicester flanker Lewis Moody has been dropped from the England starting XV for the Calcutta Cup match against Scotland on Saturday.

Martin Johnson and his coaching staff have instead chosen Wasps loose forward Joe Worsley at openside flanker for the Six Nations clash at Murrayfield.

Louis Deacon will replace the injured Simon Shaw in the second row in the only other change from the team that lost 20-16 to Ireland at Twickenham two weeks ago.

Scotland will be looking to bounce back from defeat to Italy in Rome and secure their first victory in this year’s championship. While England are favourites on paper the Scots have been victorious in the last two Calcutta Cup matches at Murrayfield.
