England crush Andorra 6-0

England crushed Group 6 minnows Andorra 6-0 at Wembley tonight to continue their 100 per cent record in qualifying for next year's World Cup in South Africa.

Wayne Rooney and half-time substitute Jermain Defoe both bagged two goals apiece while Frank Lampard and Peter Crouch also got their names on the score-sheet in this one sided qualifier.

Despite the industrial action which disrupted London Underground services earlier today, almost 57,000 fans turned up to the stadium to watch the goalfest as well as a brilliant display of passing from David Beckham who started in central midfield due to Gareth Barry's suspension.

Rooney's brace makes him the top scorer in European qualification with eight goals. Fabio Capello's team now have a maximum of 21 points from seven games and tonight's victory puts England 10 points clear of both Croatia and the Ukraine.
