Republic of Ireland winger Damien Duff looks set to end his nightmare spell at Newcastle with a move to Fulham. Cottagers manager Roy Hodgson has revealed that the London club are close to agreeing a deal for the 30-year-old.
Fulham have made a £4m offer for Duff who previously played under Hodgson at Blackburn Rovers and the Irish winger is said to be keen on a move back to London where he spent three seasons with Chelsea.
Australian goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer has put pen to paper on a new deal which will keep him at Craven Cottage until 2011, but Schwarzer's Australian teammate Mark Viduka has ruled out a move to the club.
