Cristiano Ronaldo walks away unhurt from crash
Cristiano Ronaldo had a lucky escape this afternoon when he wrote off his £170,000 Ferrari. The Manchester United player walked away unhurt after ploughing into a roadside barrier on the A538 near Manchester Airport.
The accident happened this morning around 10.20am as the Portugal winger was en route to training. United goalkeeper, Edwin Van Der Saar is believed to have been following directly behind in his Bentley.
A witness told reporters: "The front of Ronaldo's car was completely mangled. There was metal all over the road and debris - and we had to dodge our way through it." Despite the destruction of his car, Ronaldo is believed to have taken part in training at United as usual.
