Wives and girlfriends who have to endure watching Match of the Day will be delighted with the news that newly loaded Manchester City are hoping to sign Thierry Henry from Barcelona in January.
The former Arsenal striker has failed to settle in Catalonia and has made little impact at the Nou Camp. City want Henry to play alongside Brazilian youngster Jo and hopefully propel them into the top four.
The Frenchman is proven goal scorer in the Premier League, but it remains to be seen if he is willing to join the Mark Hughes + shed loads of dough revolution at City. One thing is for sure: there will be no problem meeting Henry’s wage demands.
