Manchester City have been left sweating over the fitness of Robinho after the Brazilian playmaker was stretchered off the field during Brazil's 0-0 draw with Colombia.
The record £34m signing picked up a thigh injury and was booed off the field by his own fans at the Maracana during a lacklustre display from Dunga's side. But Robinho has said that he understands the fans' frustrations: "The fans have a right to boo. I didn't play well, I was bad. I didn't manage one dribble or shot on goal. I wasn't the player I always hope to be.”
City had three player's in Brazil's starting XI with Jo and Elano also on the team sheet. Robinho now looks set to miss City's game against Newcastle on Monday night.
