Cisse frustrated over uncertainty of his Sunderland future
Djibril Cisse has publicly vented his frustration over the uncertainty surrounding his future at Sunderland. The French striker is currently on a year long loan at the Stadium of Light from Marseille with the hope of securing himself a permanent deal.
"It is not nice to worry about where I am going to be in a few months," Cisse told the Sunderland Echo. The Black Cats have claimed that they want to secure their Premier League status before making a final decision whether or not to sign the former Liverpool striker.
Cisse has already scored ten goals this season forming a good partnership with Kenwyne Jones, but the French striker underlined the difficulty of his current position: "It is not just affecting me - I have family and children to think about. It is really annoying me, to be honest."
"I would like to know asap where I'm going to be next season. But it is not me who decides, the board must make a decision," Cisse said. "It is no one's fault that the decision is not made, but I still need to know."
