Chelsea tell Inter Lampard is not for sale
It looks as if Frank Lampard will be a Chelsea player for at least another season after the London club rejected Inter Milan’s official approach for the England midfielder.
In a statement released on the London club’s website, Chelsea confirmed that the Italian club had made contact about signing the player but hadn't lodged a bid.
Lampard’s future at Chelsea has been under doubt ever since former Blues’ boss Jose Mourinho took over at Inter. But in the statement released on ww.chelseafc.com it’s clear that Lampard is not for sale.
The England international is in the last year of his current contract and will be able to leave Chelsea for free next year. But the Blues seem reluctant to sell Lampard and he will have to put in a transfer request if he wishes to force a move to Serie A.
