Chelsea hold Barcelona goalless at the Nou Camp
Chelsea held Barcelona scoreless at the Nou Camp in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final. Didier Drogba wasted a great chance to grab the Blues an away goal, but Chelsea were anything but adventurous on the night.
Barcelona's much vaunted forward line of Messi, Henry and Eto'o, however, struggled to break down Chelsea's back four with emergency left back Jose Bosingwa marking Messi out of the game for long periods.
Bojan wasted a glorious chance for Barca late on when he headed wide despite finding himself unmarked in the box. Former Arsenal player and now bench warmer at the Nou Camp, Alex Hleb, also had a good opportunity to score late on for the Catalan side but lost his composure and blazed wide and over when through on goal.
The 0-0 draw means that Chelsea can reach their second successive Champions League final with a home win next week in the return leg. However, the Blues will have to attack more than they did last night meaning more space for Messi & Co. to exploit.
