Chelsea were hammered 3-1 by Roma last night in the Olympic Stadium in their Champions League Group A game in Rome. The Blues had been expected to win easily against a Roma side that has struggled with its form this season.
John Terry & Co. seemed to be in control of the game until an unmarked Christian Panucci ghosted in behind a static Chelsea defence to open the scoring on 34 minutes. Things went from bad to worse in the second half for the London side when Mirko Vucinic bagged a spectacular brace.
Chelsea looked shell shocked by the score and struggled to get back into the game despite enjoying large amounts of possession. Terry did manage to pull one back but Deco was given a ridiculous second yellow card to dash the already slim hopes of a late comeback.
