Chelsea hammer Bolton 4-0

Chelsea hammered Bolton for the second time in the space of a week with a 4-0 win at the Reebok this afternoon to retain their place at the top of the Premier League.

Despite having lost their last two away games in the league Bolton never looked likely to mount a sustained challenge against Carlo Ancelloti's side and were further hampered when Jllod Samuel was sent off.

The Bolton defender felled Didier Drogba just before half time and received a straight red card before Frank Lampard dispatched the resulting penalty past Jussi Jaaskelainen.

Deco doubled Chelsea's lead early in the second half producing a brilliant finish after a storming run from Nicolas Anelka. A Zat Knight own goal left the home side three down but Chelsea were in no mood to take their foot off the gas and Drogba added a sublime fourth goal in injury time.
