The last few months has seen big changes occur at chelsea football club with former manager Carlo Ancelloti making way for Andre Villas-Boas to take over the helm at Stamford Bridge. With regard to transfer speculation, the main name being linked with a possible move to Chelsea is Luka Modric who has expressed a desire to leave his current club Tottenham and move across London to play for Chelsea. Tottenham are however reluctant to let their prized asset leave White Hart Lane and have already turned down a number of bids from Chelsea. It's believed that Chelsea are set to make yet another bid believed to be in the region of £30 million in the hope to lure their main summer target to the club. Meanwhile, young starlet Romelu Lukaku is all but ready to complete his move to Chelsea after completing his medical but an unforeseen delay due to issues within the deal. He is believed to be able to complete his move next week where the club will confirm an £18 million signing for the 18 year old Belgium international.

Chelsea will kick off their season at Stoke's Brittania stadium on Sunday where they will hope to immediately get three points on the board at against a tricky opposition. One player Chelsea fans will be hoping for better things from is £50 million signing Fernando Torres who struggled to find the form that saw him become labelled as one of the greatest strikers in world football at Liverpool.
