Chelsea drop points at Blackburn

Chelsea’s bad week got even worse this afternoon when they dropped points in the Premier League title race drawing 1-1 with Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.

The Blues were looking to bounce back from being dumped out of the Champions League on Tuesday by Inter Milan but failed to control the game dehttps://intra.goadv.com/editorial_cms/?action=search_article-manage#spite taking the lead early on through Didier Drogba.

The Ivory Coast international finished past Rovers keeper Jason Brown after a powerful run and cutback from Nicolas Anelka. Solomon Kalou came close to doubling Chelsea’s lead heading over from a corner but that was as good as it got for the visitors.

El Hadji Diouf got Blackburn back on level terms with a powerful header in a second half which saw the visitors barely test Brown in the Rovers goal.

Chelsea have now lost four games in their last nine and are now four points behind Premier League leaders Manchester United although they do have a game in hand.
