Chelsea drew 1-1 with Bordeaux last night to put their qualification for the knock-out stages of the Champions League in doubt. Blues' boss Luiz Felipe Scolari said that he will quit the club if they fail to win their decisive game with Romanian side Cluj at Stamford Bridge in two weeks time.
Nicolas Anelka put the Chelsea ahead in the second half before suffering a dramatic collapse. Alou Diarra levelled the game with a header after shaking off John Terry before Frank Lampard was sent off for a second bookable defence. The England midfielder will now miss the crunch game with Cluj.
While Chelsea are riding high in the league, their form in the Champions League has been erratic and Scolari seems to feeling the pressure. The Brazilian was given the task of winning Europe's elite competition when he took on the job, but a bad result against Cluj could mean P45 time for Big Phil.
