Chelsea beat Wolves 2-0

Chelsea moved four points ahead of Manchester United at the top of the Premier League with a 2-0 win over Wolves at Molineux this afternoon.

The home side carved out a number of excellent chances but ultimately it was Didier Drogba who decided the result with a goal in either half.

Wolves' striker Kevin Doyle brought a good save out of Petr Cech midway through the first half and looked the most likely to take the lead.

However, Drogba put Chelsea ahead against the run of play after a neat one-two between Yuri Zhirkov and Michael Ballack.

Cech again came to Chelsea's rescue on 56 minutes with a brilliant reaction save from a Adlène Guedioura volley. The keeper then turned provider when his long clearance beat Christophe Berra allowing Drogba to make sure of the points with a left-foot finish.
