Chelsea beat Portsmouth 1-0 under the rain at Fratton Park this evening to remain in the hunt for the Premier League title. Didier Drogba was the hero on the night for the Blues when he converted a Jose Bosingwa cross to hand Guus Hiddink his fourth win in a row since he took over at Stamford Bridge.
The win leaves Chelsea just four points behind Manchester United although Sir Alex Ferguson's side have two games in hand. The Blues were made to work hard for the three points against a Portsmouth side hovering just above the relegation zone.
Peter Cech kept Chelsea from going behind midway through the second half when he pushed away a Sean Davies shot and again showed his quality with a save from David Nugent in late in the second half.
