Chelsea easily overcame Coventry in the FA Cup this afternoon with a 2-0 win at the Ricoh Arena. Didier Drogba continued his renaissance under new Blues boss Guus Hiddink with a commanding performance against the Championship side.
The Ivory Coast striker opened the scoring on 15 minutes when he took advantage of a moment of hesitancy by the Coventry rearguard. Brazilian defender put the result beyond doubt 17 minutes before the end when he guided home a Ricardo Quaresma centre.
Chelsea went out of the Cup at the same stage last year, but there was little chance of an upset this afternoon against a toothless Coventry side.
