Chelsea back to winning ways against Hull
After losing to Liverpool on Saturday, Chelsea got back to winning ways last night with a 3-0 win over Hull City. Frank Lampard opened the scoring with a sublime chip from the edge of the box which Blues' boss Scolari hailed as one of the best goals he has ever seen.
Nicolas Anelka and Florent Malouda put the result beyond doubt for Chelsea, as Hull's luck seemed to have finally run out. It was an evening of harsh lesson for Phil Brown's side who looked tentative going forward and shaky at the back.
Chelsea produced a lacklustre performance but Hull didn't provide enough of a threat going forward to cause the Blues any trouble. Scolari's team never seemed to get out of second gear but did enough to pick up the three points.
