Carragher: Liverpool can finish the job against Real Madrid

Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has declared that Liverpool will be strong enough to finish the job against Real Madrid at Anfield in two weeks time.

The Reds enjoyed a good night at the office when they beat Real 1-0 at the Bernabeu. Yossi Benayoun was the hero on the night when he headed home a Fabio Aurelio free-kick eight minutes before the end.

Rafa Benitez's team are now in the driving seat in the tie and know that qualification for the quarter-finals is theirs to lose. The Liverpool vice-captain Carragher underlined this point: "Away goals are massive in Europe and that means they have got to get one now in the second leg."

"Hopefully if they come at us it will give us more space and make it easier to reach the last eight," the centre-back continued. "We have done well in this competition by being organised. We are one of the best organised teams in this competition. That is why we have done well in the last few years and we have done it again in Madrid."
