Capello includes King and Baines in England squad
Ledley King and Leighton Baines are the biggest surprises in the England squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Slovakia and the Ukraine. The squad again proves that Fabio Capello bases his selection on form.
The Aston Villa quartet of Ashley Young, Gabriel Agbonlahor, James Milner and Luke Young have all been left out while Aaron Lennon's recent performances for Spurs have ended his two year absence from the England set-up.
David Beckham's name is also on the list, but perhaps the biggest surprise is the inclusion of the luckless King. The Spurs defender is unable to take part in training due to a persistent knee problem, but he put in a towering performance yesterday for Tottenham in their win over Chelsea and it looks like it was enough to convince Capello to select the 28-year-old.
